Developer National Regional Property Group aims to redevelop the city’s former postal sorting office with a 19-storey flats development and a 200-bed hotel.
The scheme, designed by HGP Architects, converts the existing sorting office building while promoting a prominent landmark tower to house the residential element of the proposals.
Tom Molyneux-Wright at planning agent DPP said: This is an exciting new development that will bring a new lease of life to this important city centre site.
“We are thrilled to have secured planning permission for the new hotel and residential development, and we look forward to working with the applicants to bring this project to fruition.”
