Northern housing association Great Places Housing Group has put firms on alert for the renewal of its Innovation Chain North framework.

Around 30 firms face a fight to retain places on the new generation framework which counts on the likes of Caddick, Esh, Lovell Partnerships, United Living and Vistry Partnerships to deliver major project lots under the current agreement, which is due to finish in June 2024.

Ahead of starting the housing framework renewal, the housing group plans to hold a bidders’ day on 20 June at its Manchester head office.

Under the deal, the framework firms will be used to deliver new homes across the north of England over four years for Great Places and other housing associations in the area.

Great Places plans to break the framework into 11 lots covering project size and region. The next-generation framework will for the first time contain lots for specialist apartment builders.
