A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told the Standard: “We were called at 12.28pm Wednesday to reports of an incident on Kensington High Street, W8.
“We sent numerous resources to the scene, including three ambulance crews, medics in two fast response cars, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).
“Our first medics arrived in less than three minutes. Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a patient was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Henry Construction was originally the main contractor on the job to build 19 apartments above commercial premises on the high street.
But Henry went into administration last month with work stopping on all of its sites.
Henry had previously been fined £234,000 for an accident at the site in March 2021 after a demolition worker suffered serious injuries after falling from a platform.
