Sources close to the company told the Enquirer up to 50 jobs could go in the restructuring.
Higgins confirmed redundancy plans last month as part of a restructuring into regions of “the delivery element of the business.”
The Essex based contractor said the changes “will improve operational efficiencies and provide a platform for our growth targets.”
Higgins said “the consultation process is still ongoing and will be concluded in mid-August” but would not comment on the numbers involved.
Higgins made a pre-tax loss of £5.4m in the year to July 31 2022 after making a £4.75m provision for remediation work on completed housing schemes.
The group has also been hit by project delays caused by the Mayor of London’s second staircase rule for residential buildings over 30 metres.
