This latest acquisition takes the social housing maintenance group’s annual turnover to £115m, directly employing over 650.
Investor-backed Cardo Group was established four months ago through the purchase of £50m turnover Welsh social housing contractor LCB Group.
LCB Group managing director, Liam Bevan, then became CEO of the newly-formed operation.
Two weeks ago, Cardo acquired south-east based Osborne Property Services, formed by Geoffrey Osborne Group in 2006.
West Midlands-based Jefferies has now been added to the group’s portfolio of companies.
Jefferies was established by Terry Ware in 2008 and, like it’s two stable mates, is a specialist in social housing building maintenance.
Ware will take on the role of operations director while fellow director at Jefferies, Leigh Bullock, also remains with the business, stepping up to managing director.
Bevan said: “I am delighted to welcome everyone at Jefferies to the Cardo Group. This is the third company we have acquired with strong shared values and a demonstrable ability to improving the quality, energy efficiency and warmth of social housing homes and other properties.
“This collective reputation gives us a strong foundation to seize emerging business opportunities.
“The acquisition of Jefferies extends Cardo Group’s geographical reach into the midlands and we are looking to build on that with a target to double Jefferies’ turnover in the next three years.”
