Southbank Centre to get £43m revamp

Owners of the Southbank Centre are planning a £43m revamp of the famous arts complex by the River Thames in London.

Southbank Centre bosses are now looking for a structural engineer to work with the design team on the next stage of the site’s transformation.

The £43m project will include refurbishment of the 1960s building housing the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Hayward Gallery.

At least five structural engineers will be shortlisted for the job and firms have until June 11 to register their interest.
