This morning Galliford Try said it had started the hunt for his replacement to ensure a smooth and effective transition of his roles and responsibilities.
Duxbury has worked in various finance roles for over 10 years at Galliford Try, latterly as group finance director since March 2019.
His start date at Persimmon will be confirmed in due course.
Bill Hocking, chief executive, said: “On behalf of the board I would like to thank Andrew for the contribution he has made since the successful divestment of the housebuilding business in 2020 and in supporting the group’s year-on-year sustainable growth.”
Duxbury said: “I will leave the business in an excellent position, with a strong balance sheet, an experienced finance and management team, and well placed to deliver further sustainable growth.”
He added: “Persimmon is a strong business with a proven track record and plays an important role in the UK economy.
“I look forward to working with the team to deliver its industry-leading financial ambitions while continuing the significant recent progress in build quality and service.”
