The hybrid planning application consists of a detailed submission for enabling works across the site and outline permission for the demolition of several existing buildings on the site to clear the way for two teaching and research buildings.
The 370,000 sq ft plans also include the refurbishment of the existing physics building and existing ‘Block B’, together with a new energy centre and creation of a university green.
Warwick University has enlisted Mace as project manager, BDP as architect and Arup for building services design.
The timeframe for the enabling works to be undertaken is between late spring 2024 to spring 2025, subject to planning permission being granted.
There will be a phased approach to the developments over a ten-year period.
