The London and Home Counties specialist is now in the hands of ReSolve partners Cameron Gunn and Chris Farrington who have been appointed as joint administrators.
Kenham had been trading for 25 years. It began life as a small building company for its owner-developer, before expanding to take on third-party building work for private clients and other developers before migrating to larger projects.
But the firm recently encountered significant technical groundworks issues on a large residential refurbishment project which led to financial losses and cash flow problems causing pressure on its supply chain.
Chris Farrington, Partner at ReSolve, said: “It is unfortunate to see a business with a strong trading history, and a portfolio of superb construction projects completed over the course of many years, encounter the difficulties experienced by Kenham Building.
“It is also particularly regretable that staff were not able to be retained through this process, a reflection of the extremely challenging conditions being experienced not only by Kenham but the wider construction and homebuilding sector.”
