The remediation, groundworks and RC frames contractor is expanding from its traditional London and southern England operations with Kevin Graham appointed as Statom Group North Managing Director.
Graham has a vast experience in the civil engineering and reinforced concrete sector spanning almost 40 year sholding senior positions with Dunne Group and Kilnbridge.
The Glasgow office will be boosted shortly by the opening of a operational depot and plant and tower crane facility.
The move follows Statom’s acquisition of the £20m-turnover Trident Tower Crane business earlier this year.
Graham said: “Our commitment to our new Glasgow base not only signifies our intent and commitment to deliver our diverse portfolio of services throughout the Central Belt and all regions of Northern and Southern Scotland -it also provides us with the backbone and infrastructure to service clients needs throughout the Midlands and Northern Regions as well as key centres such as Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.
“Already we are talking to key clients regarding major opportunities in all of these areas and it is an extremely exciting time to be part of such a forward thinking and dynamic team where success follows hard work, commitment to clients’ individual needs and innovation.”
To support the consolidated growth into these new markets Nick Brooks is also moving locations to Glasgow and joins Graham and the Northern team as Pre Construction Director bringing a huge wealth of experience and market knowledge having spent the last 30 years in the sector working in senior roles and successfully securing and delivering a diverse portfolio of projects over this period.
Joint founder of the Group, Stan Nikudinski said: “I have known and worked directly with Kevin over many years, and we are both excited and relishing the challenge of developing new markets and sectors whilst bringing the attributes of the Statom team culture and capabilities to the wider market “
