The Shropshire Alliance consists of locally based firms Beaver Bridges, Chasetown Civil Engineering and Foundation Piling.
The alliance members have a combined turnover of £250m and will aim is to “create something greater than the sum of its parts, delivering more efficient and cost-effective development outcomes to the benefit of the communities we will serve, by combining our expertise, skill base and utilising a fully local supply chain to drive infrastructure projects.”
The Enquirer understands the alliance has initially been formed to support Tier 1 Contractors currently bidding the Shrewbury North West Relief Road to ensure local specialist companies are engaged on the delivery of the scheme.
Hopefully after a successful debut the alliance model will be rolled-out to other clients and projects looking for a full specialist turnkey solution.
Henry Beaver, Chief Executive Office, Beaver Bridges said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with our like minded strategic partners on the development of this highly innovative SME joint venture.
“In our industry, collaboration is often discussed but rarely acted upon, it’s a major part of our business DNA and we look forward to delivering on this.”
