Its ambitious plan to develop its Centre for Health and Social Equity (CHASE) will bring together academics working on health, social care, education, wellbeing and equity issues across the University’s City and Coach Lane Campuses into one central base in the heart of Newcastle.
It will provide laboratories and teaching space to house some of the University’s leading partnerships with national and international organisations.
The design and build project will advance as a two-stage tender.
Pre-applications must be returned by 28 June with shortlisted firms invited to submit tenders in mid-July.
The University hopes to name a successful bidder by mid-November and complete the project in Summer 2027.
