Springfield is supplying the land, having driven the development through the design and planning process while Barratt will lead the provision of an ambitious infrastructure programme across the 600 acre site.
Initial groundworks are expected to start later this year creating over 200 new jobs.
The infrastructure programme will include significant upgrades to Roman Road, electrical supply works and sewage works.
Durieshill has already secured planning approval for over 3,000 private and affordable homes with a Gross Development Value of £776m.
