The main £60m contract to deliver a new transport hub at the airport was awarded to the Griffiths Farrans JV last November.
Statom has been working with them for months on the car-park’s design and the first suspended slab was poured yesterday.
It is the first of 45,000m2 of suspended slabs that will be built to eventually accommodate around 2,000 cars with a new public transport hub on the roof of the structure.
Statom is also supplying the three tower cranes required for the project through its subsidiary Trident Lifting Solutions.
Stan Nikundinski, CEO of Statom Group said: “We are thrilled to partner with Griffith Farrans and Bristol Airport on this significant infrastructure project.
“Our team is dedicated to delivering a facility that not only meets the highest standards of quality and innovation but also contributes to sustainability and local employment goals.”
Paul Whelan, Statom Group Managing Director added: “This new multi-story car park project is a key part of our ongoing plans to diversify not just the type of project we deliver but also the geographical location of our projects.
“We aim to be the contractor of choice for our clients right across the country.”
