University College Birmingham aims to redevelop the Cambrian Wharf canalside site with the £100m-plus project designed by Associated Architects.
The landmark project will consolidate UCB’s existing halls across the city.
The site, which presently is home to a 1970s low-rise student halls complex, is located beside the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal to the west and the B4135 Parade to the north, near the 49-storey Octagon project being built by Midgard and the consented 46-storey Brindley Drive project
Its professional project team includes PM and cost consultant MGAC, MEP engineer Crouch Perry Wilkes and structural engineer Counch Consulting.
