Work is expected to get underway shortly on the £41m contract to deliver the new Gosford Hill School in Kidlington on the Oxford Road site.
The school is designed by Stride Treglown with RPS as mechanical and electrical engineers.
A new three-storey L-shaped school will be built next to existing buildings which will be demolished in several phases to allow the school to remain open ahead of the full opening in 2026/27.
Bowmer + Kirkland will use a ‘Fabric First Principle’ to ensure the fabric, heating, ventilation, water and lighting systems are designed to be energy efficient and robust.
