Former Skanska project director Jon Arnold joins the business as operations director to support Clancy’s clients in the energy sector after nearly 13 years with the UK contracting arm of the Swedish construction giant.
At the same time long-serving directors, Martin McGovern and Bryan Curtayne have been promoted to Clancy’s executive board of directors.
Curtayne and McGovern both bring to their new executive director roles over three decades of experience across construction and infrastructure.
Since joining Clancy in 2002, Curtayne has led the business’ work on several alliances and joint ventures, including the Optimise JV to support Thames Water’s AMP5 investment across North London and Thames Valley.
Prior to joining Clancy, he had held roles in rail and civil engineering including on the Jubilee Line extension.
McGovern joined the business in 2010 to develop and expand Clancy’s work in the energy sector, including major capital programmes for UK Power Networks through the ground-breaking ED1SON Alliance.
In the past year, he led Clancy’s team in its mobilisation of work for Scottish and Southern Energy to support grid expansion and shift to decarbonisation in the ED2 control period. Before his arrival at Clancy, he worked for Skanska and McNicholas.
