Ipswich based Taylor Made Joinery Interiors Limited has completed a management buyout.

The joinery specialist was established by James Taylor in 1981 and employs a workforce of more than 200.

Taylor said: “After building TMJ for the past four decades, I am pleased the company legacy will continue.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the management team and I look forward to supporting them as they navigate through this evolution”

The MBO was led by directors Tim Coll, Sarah Warren and Kevin Pryke.

Coll will now move into the role of Managing Director under the guidance of Taylor as Chairman.

Coll said: “Our goal is to build on the strong foundation laid out by James Taylor. We are excited to enhance our services and continue investing in our talented team, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.”

Latest accounts for TMJ for the year to December 31 2023 show a turnover of £36.8m generating a pre-tax profit of £2.1m.
