Are you a Pre-Construction Manager looking for your next challenge and want to experience working in the water industry? Our team is seeking a leader to manage a variety of clean water projects on our South West Water Framework.
We're looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to work closely within the AMP8 client partnership to establish, lead and deliver the preconstruction programme to ensure efficient and prompt delivery of the clean water programme across Cornwall. You’ll be integral to shaping the programme, establishing budgets and grasping opportunities to optimise project delivery. Schemes are varied in both size and complexity but typically consists of a high degree of traditional civils with an element of mechanical and electrical works, that range in size from £250k to > £10m plus.
Suitable locations: Exeter, Plymouth and Newquay
The role of a Pre-Construction Manager includes:
- Identify the allocated programme and batch efficiencies.
- Arrange the programme for efficient delivery, considering standardisation and repeatable solutions.
- Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to secure their support and commitment.
- Establish key commitment dates, and plan to achieve them.
- Manage the delivery process, including governance stages and requirements.
- Coordinate internal operational, commercial/estimating, and design requirements towards supporting the pre-construction stage.
- Manage supply chain support at pre-construction stage, including programme and procurement times.
- Coordinate wider business support towards cost and product information gathering.
- Develop cost and information library/bank to support future opportunities.
