The mixed-use regeneration scheme includes new housing, a 100 bed hotel, business accommodation, a children’s nursery, a 46,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s and public square.
Development Securities is part of the newly-created Cross Quarter Partnership, made up of Gallions Housing Association and Berkshire Investment Capital.
Development Securities and Berkshire Investment Capital acquired an industrial site in Abbey Wood last year for £2.75m and simultaneously entered into a joint venture agreement with adjoining land owner, Gallions Housing to create a larger 10 acres of land for mixed-use development.
The site is located next to the planned Abbey Wood Crossrail station, which will put the development just 10 minutes away from Canary Wharf.
