The four-year framework could be worth up to £50m with a minimum value of £5m.
Newcastle City Council is leading the deal which covers Gateshead, Durham, Northumberland, Hartlepool and Cumbria.
An OJEU notice states the framework will cover “demolition of a full range of properties including office accommodation, retail, industrial and other commercial properties plus educational, library, social care, leisure, residential and other public owned properties throughout the north east of England.”
