Construction will last 64 weeks on the project, designed by architect ESA.
Shepherd has also landed a £4m job in Oxford to expand the Clarendon Centre in Cornmarket Street.
The project will expand the 100,000 sq ft of retail space by 10% and enable the Clarendon Centre to remain competitive with other shopping areas within Oxford.
The work is scheduled to complete in October 2013.
Mark Tant, Shepherd Construction’s regional managing director commented: “We’re delighted to have won these projects as they once again show our ability to deliver cost effective solutions within an incredibly competitive environment.
“It also further cements our reputation within the retail sector, particularly after the successful delivery of Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield, a project that Shepherd not only helped restart after it went into administration but then also worked with a new client to successfully complete the work within an ambitious timescale.”
