A joint venture between St Modwen and Persimmon is behind the Coed Darcy project which aims to transform the site of the former BP oil refinery near Neath with 4,000 homes.
Groundworks got underway this week on the first 300 homes on the new town site. A range of homes, townhouses and flats will form the first of three residential neighbourhoods planned at Coed Darcy.
The overall target is to build 200 new homes at the site every year for the next 20 years.
