The contract will operate from April 2012 and includes 24-hour responsive maintenance, through to bridge and street lighting repair.
The contract will run for 10 years but the council will retain the right to reduce the deal to six years if the contractor’s performance does not meet expectations.
The works area includes the city of York and the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
