Several workers for Daniel Contractors have complained to the Enquirer they have not been paid by the company which owns Land & Marine.
Plant hirers are understood to have pulled machinery off a big job on the Isle of Grain where Land and Marine is building a major liquid gas pipeline.
A source said: “The workers are cabined up and nothing seems to be happening.”
Another senior site source working for Daniel Contractors said workers were not paid this week on a job for Bristol Water.
The source told the Enquirer: “The main problem seems to be with Daniel Contractors and its framework agreements with water companies like United Utilities and Welsh Water.”
Last week workers on the Isle of Grain site for National Grid also complained of not being paid on time.
A spokeswoman for the group said the workers were eventually paid following a glitch in the payment system.
Senior staff at Land & Marine refused to comment and referred inquiries to the group’s Warrington head office.
Andrew Ball, chief executive officer of Daniel Contractors, was unavailable for comment.
His PA said the position at the moment was no comment from the company.
