Industry’s trainers star in Birthday Honours

Several key figures in the world of construction training were recognised in this year’s Queeen’s Birthday Honours.

Geoff Lister, chairman of the Cross-Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force, headed up the honours with a CBE.

He is joined by two other figures picking up honours from the world of training: Trevor Gamble who founded the Construction Plant Competence Scheme is awarded OBE and William Robert Williams an MBE for promoting construction training in Wales.

    William Williams: Founder of the WRW construction group for services to skills and training in Welsh construction.

    Chris Sneath: Former president of the HVCA – now B&ES – for services to the heating and plumbing industry.
