Thirteen firms have been invited to tender for two lots covering the North and South of England.

Eleven firms have made the shortlist for both regions.

Nine contractors will now be chosen for each framework which lasts for four years and will start early next year.

New names on the shortlists are Bowmer and Kirkland, Galliford Try, Mace and Thomas Vale.

But current incumbents who have missed out this time are Lend Lease, Leadbitter, Rydon and Apollo.
