Balfour Beatty’s building arm Mansell is in line for the major complex of four buildings rising to 14 floors on the Holloway Road.
The Stapleton House scheme is expected to obtain planning consent by early 2014 and start on site shortly after for a 2016 delivery.
Plans have been submitted to the local Islington Borough Council, with the help of Mansell, for a major cluster of flats based around four reinforced concrete cores that will be brick clad.
The 110-week building programme will involve 14 weeks of enabling works including demolition of existing buildings at 263 – 289 Holloway Road and 2-16 Eden Grove.
The project is largest of two in the pipeline to develop in London.
Unite today also confirmed its £100m Angel Lane project for Stratford is due to start on site later this year for completion in 2015.
Shepherd Construction, Ardmore and McAleer & Rushe are among the firms bidding the high rise job.
Bank financing has been agreed for both schemes.
