The agreements, awarded by the company’s Infrastructure Projects Southern division, cover the bulk of the region’s electrification renewal and enhancement work-bank from April 2014 to 2019.

The general electrification and plant framework will encompass enhancement of 750V DC track feeder cables and along track positive cables, substation rewires, signalling power and a range of other fixed plant asset services.
The HV Feeder element covers refurbishment or replacement of existing high voltage feeder cable routes between substations, replacement of existing oil filled cables with new 33kV cabling, renewal of the existing pilot cables and installation of new optical fibre telecommunication cables.
