Around 150 staff are facing redundancy at the social housing specialist.
Green Hill was established in 2006 with a focus on building homes for registered social landlords across south Wales and the South West.
The firm said it provides a “complete turnkey service from land identification, planning, financing land acquisition, detailed design, off site manufacture and construction, through to project completion and customer care.”
The company’s website added: “Over the last few years, Green Hill has invested heavily in both staff and equipment.
“All the senior management team at Green Hill have previous proven track records and experience, with major plc contractors and house builders.”
Director of Green Hill Construction Darran Watts told the South Wales Argus: “Green Hill Construction Ltd have filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator – however the appointment has not yet been made.
“Given the aforementioned position and the fact that various discussions are currently ongoing regarding the future of the business it would be inappropriate for us to provide any comment at this stage.”
