Airport operator BAA said it aims to appoint two principal contractors for the programme of works, which will run from April next year to 2013, with an option to extend the framework for a further 12 months.
Under the minor work framework, no job package will be worth more than £5m.
Interested firms have been given until 29 October to complete PQQs, found on the website: www.airportsmart.com.
To prequalify contractors must turnover more than £8m and be able to demonstrate a track record of working on projects up to £2m in value with a clean accident record.
Firms will also be required to provide a performance bond or submit suitable parent company guarantees.
