Jacobs took early retirement from Morgan Sindall earlier this year after a stint as head of the contractor’s construction business in London.

Previously Jacobs spent 24 years at Bovis Lend Lease where he was a director for ten years and headed up the team behind the London 2012 Athletes village.

Jacobs said: “Logistics has always been critical to the successful delivery of complex construction projects.
