The 1,000-pupil school, earmarked to open in 2016, will be part of a three-tier shared campus including the relocated Sidlaw View Primary School and Jessie Porter Nursery School.

The proposed replacement secondary school will be built on the playing fields of the existing secondary school, as well as the site of the existing primary school.

Main teaching classrooms in the school campus will also have an adjoining sports hall with a large games hall, two gyms and swimming pool.
