Developer Pinnacle MC Global plans to build its first residential scheme near the Co-op building in the green quarter of the city.

PHD1 will start construction of the 344-homes twin block scheme in December.

Angelgate will house a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, a concierge, two level fitness suite, landscaped gardens, car parking and shops.

The building when finished in February 2016 will also provide two electric Smart cars for hire.

These cars are a residential first for the North West, and with each car having a range of 100 miles between charges.
