Caldicot Comprehensive School is one of four new schools planned by the local county council as part of an £80m building programme.

Enabling works will start in February with main building work due to start in April, employing around 180 construction workers at peak.

The new 1,500-student school will be built within 30m of the existing school, which will remain in use until handover and then be demolished.
