Join our team as a Design Coordinator playing a key role in a landmark project to deliver three advanced compressors to our St Fergus site. Spanning 5-7 years, this ambitious project is critical in ensuring the UK's Gas Supply Network is prepared for future demands and compliant with the 2030 emission legislation directive. You'll collaborate closely with project partners, taking a lead role in ensuring on-time delivery of high quality cutting-edge compressor drivetrain solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a high-stakes technical environment, with the potential to advance into a leadership role as the project progresses.
We're seeking a Design Coordinator with the following experience:
1. Broad Technical/Engineering Understanding: You have a solid technical foundation, ideally with a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, and rotating machinery expertise is essential. You'll need to communicate effectively with subject matter experts, demonstrating a clear grasp of complex technical discussions and concepts.
2. Critical Path and Technical Risk Management: The ideal candidate can identify critical path items and technical risks, proactively driving solutions and contingencies to meet a demanding program. You will anticipate challenges, recognize problems, and develop creative, practical options that keep the project on track and aligned with business goals.
3. Exceptional Communication and Ownership: We're looking for someone who can communicate effectivley at all levels, both internally and externally. You should take full ownership of your responsibilities, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and promoting clarity and cohesion throughout the project.
