The Vacancy – Development Manager, North 

We are seeking a proactive Development Manager to join our team in Leeds, West Yorkshire. In this role, you will oversee and manage retirement living development projects within 70-miles of the office, guiding them from inception to completion.

With strong project management expertise, you will be involved in site selection and acquisition, financial analysis, and management of budgets. Your responsibilities will also include project planning and design, risk management, and construction oversight.

As a key player in our team, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a versatile professional with excellent communication skills to drive performance, build and lead teams, and engage effectively with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the land team in the identification of new development sites that align with the company's strategic goals
• Preparing budgets and financial forecasts
• Ensuring that project designs meet the requirements of the operator, model or portfolio
• Managing construction activities to ensure completion on time and within budget
• Foster relationships with local authorities, community groups, and partners

What we are looking for:

Degree Qualified: Degree-level qualification in real estate, finance, construction, or a related field

An excellent communicator: Bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills as you’ll be working with diverse groups of people

A team player: You’ll need to be a collaborative individual with a friendly “can do” approach, actively promoting and supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the workplace and with our external stakeholders

Detail Oriented: You’ll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality
