The Vacancy – Financial Controller, North

We’re looking for a Financial Controller to manage a team to deliver a best-in-class service at our office in Leeds, located just off the M1.

As a key part of the senior leadership team, your scope of work will cover Torsion Developments Limited. This role provides an opportunity to influence senior decision-making and contribute to the Company’s long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will also be responsible for:

• Co-operating with other departments of the business to maximise the efficiency and utilisation of resources and to share experience and best practice
• overseeing the governance of business reporting, ensuring strong financial controls over expenditure, reporting, budgeting and cash management.
• Providing ad-hoc analysis to Management to inform decision-making
• Leading the annual budget and within-year forecasting processes

What we are looking for:

Degree Qualified: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, preferably with a Big 4 firm background

Industry Experience: with 5 Years post qualification experience, you will have a demonstrable track record within the construction industry along with a strong technical knowledge of accounting standards

Organised: You’ll need to bring superb organisation skills, including time management, prioritisation of tasks and self-motivation

An excellent communicator: Bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills as you’ll be working with diverse groups of people

A team player: You’ll need to be a collaborative individual with a friendly “can do” approach, actively promoting and supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the workplace and with our external stakeholders

Detail Oriented: You’ll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality
