About the role: We are searching for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate a history of successfully leading installation, integration or fit-out projects.
Primarily this role will sit within our Robotics division so experience within Robotics and Automation; in particular MHE would be preferred; however, individuals from engineering, M&E and construction backgrounds have successfully led teams in this division previously.
The role is client facing; we are seeking someone who is commercially orientated when planning and executing projects, cultivating strong customer relationships through daily communication and problem-solving.
About you: Ideally you will be degree qualified; or hold a professional project management qualification. You will have experience of installation/integration projects, managing internal teams and external contingent labour. You will have previous experience in a client facing role; demonstrating the ability to manage relationships, with a strong commercial acumen.
Before you apply: The role will be 100% site based with travel across the UK and some deployments in Europe; with varying project durations. You must hold a valid passport and driving licence. You must hold the right to work in the UK and be willing to travel throughout the region; spending full project durations at site.
Responsibilities:
- Complete project lifecycle management from conception to completion, including planning, design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing client/customer support.
- Overall commercial responsibility and accountability for the execution of assigned project(s).
- Lead interface with the customer dealing with commercial issues, reporting progress and managing schedules.
- Evaluate and report on project progress, addressing potential risks and delays.
- Document scope changes and modifications, and implement internal change control procedures to resolve issues with the client.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Project Management or Engineering (or other relevant technical field) or equivalent demonstratable industry experience.
- Project management professional certification e.g. Prince 2 or PMP preferred.
- Ideally experience in executing Robotics deployments or experience of heavy installation and integration projects within Robotics and Automation; in particular Material Handling Equipment. Alternatively, a strong background in Fit-Out across construction or M&E.
- Strong commercial acumen; driving project profitability, manage risk effectively, negotiate favourable terms, align projects with business strategy, and identify opportunities for value creation.
- Exceptional communication skills and a track record of successfully managing client/customer relationships.
Interview Process: 1st stage will be a screening with a People & Talent Partner. 2nd stage is a competency-based interview (with technical questions) with our Global Head of Talent; Director of Operations Europe and another member of our team. If successful there will be the option for a “virtual coffee” Q&A with a peer level member of our team to find out more about working with NPSG Europe.
