National Gas has an exciting and important role in net zero and in leading a fair energy transition for the UK. We will do this by developing the green gas system of tomorrow, while delivering the natural gas needs of today.
Are you interested in being part of a team that is working on projects that are critical towards securing Britain’s energy?
We’re looking for 3 Project Manager's to join our Cyber - Control Systems Team within Construction in the replacement of control systems at our compressor stations - the brain and nervous system of the asset.
You'll deliver and be responsible for delivering Control System projects to time, cost and specification. Ensuring any health, safety, quality and environmental issues are managed from initial requirements, through development to delivery and closure. You'll develop and execute NEC contract strategies to ensure the successful delivery of these projects and manage the performance of third parties through contractual KPI's, EWN's and CE's.
You'll develop and review project programmes, identifying critical path activities and potential project efficiencies. As well as identifying and managing project risk to develop and implement mitigation plans. You'll produce cost estimates, tender packs and review contractor submissions.
To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable in managing end-to-end large-scale projects (eight-figure value) in an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E, C&I) discipline based on NEC 3 and 4. We don't have a pre-conceived idea of industry background, providing that you meet the NEC, large scale and discipline requirements.
Travel will be part of the job – we have a national portfolio. You'll spend up to 50% of your working week travelling and working on sites/attending meetings to support in the delivery of the projects with home working in-between. Therefore, it’s essential you hold a full UK driving licence.
Each role will be aligned to one of the following sites:
- Wooler
- Nether Kellet
- Kings Lynn
Due to the Christmas period vastly approaching, we may not be in touch with you until the new year regarding your application. We will endeavour to provide you with an update on your application as soon as we can.
