ACCIONA is looking to appoint a site-based Quantity Surveyor at our North London Heat and Power Project in Edmonton, London E4 8JG.

Your role 

Main responsibilities: 

• Commercial management of subcontract packages from tender selection to award, management throughout to the settlement of final account.
• Measurement of Civils, Steel Frames and multiple process disciplines.
• Payment Application / Certificates Management.
• Variations/Field Extra Work Order Management (FEWO).
• Claims Management (both Head and Subcontract).
• Management of back charges.
• Coordination of communications with Subcontractors.
• Coordination with Project Control (Planning and Cost Control) and on-site engineering delivery team.
• Coordination with the Construction, Procurement and Finance Departments in the closing of Subcontracts.

Job requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc Hons) or Master’s degree (MSc) in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).

Industry Experience:

• Experience in heavy process industries such as Energy from Waste (EfW), Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Nuclear sectors is advantageous.

Professional Membership:

• MRICS membership or actively working towards achieving MRICS status (preferred).

Additional Competencies:

• Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and financial planning
