The Vacancy – Senior Quantity Surveyors, Midlands

Torsion Construction Limited are looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors to initially join student accommodation projects in either Leicester, Birmingham or Oxford.

You’ll bring your experience of regularly reporting on construction project performance and working successfully alongside other site-based construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• This role will require you to establish and develop productive and professional working relationships with all stakeholders, including members of our team and supply chain.
• You’ll promote the correct behaviours and ensure everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
• You’ll need to have a comprehensive understanding of the contract and its constituent parts, sufficient to ensuring that an accurate project business plan is produced. With this, you’ll highlighting all known risks and opportunities that will need management on the project.
• You’ll take an active lead in the control and administration of vetting sub-contractors.
• You’ll be involved at every stage to monitor accurate cashflow and turnover forecasts.

What we are looking for:

Degree Qualified: In industry related degree such as Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying

Industry Experience: Construction site based commercial experience

Organised: You’ll need to bring superb organisation skills, including time management, prioritisation of tasks and self-motivation

An excellent communicator: Bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills as you’ll be working with diverse groups of people

A team player: You’ll need to be a collaborative individual with a friendly “can do” approach, actively promoting and supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the workplace and with our external stakeholders

Detail Oriented: You’ll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality

Multi-Room Experience: We’d love if you had experience with multi-room projects but this isn’t essential
