Apprenticeship Opportunities  

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career as a Trainee Piling Operative while undertaking a  fully funded Federation of Piling Specialists apprenticeship. This is a site-based role, and while prior construction site  experience is an advantage, it is not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Upon successfully completing the apprenticeship, you will earn a wide range of qualifications, including an NVQ Level 2 in  Piling Operations, Slinger Signaller certification, and many more. This role provides an excellent pathway to a permanent  position within the construction industry, offering supported learning and the chance to build a valuable trade. With your  training complete, a variety of rewarding career opportunities will be available to you.

During your apprenticeship you will learn to:

∙ Become a key member of a piling team.

∙ Sling and signal the movement of loads using a variety of machinery.

∙ Guide and control the movement and operations of piling operations.

∙ Off load and load vehicles.

∙ Manually handle loads.

∙ Work safely on site.

∙ Monitor the delivery of concrete and take samples for testing.

Location  

The role requires a Trainee Piling Operative to work on a range a construction schemes predominately within the South of  England.

Essential Skills 

∙ You must be willing and eager to learn.

∙ Be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.

∙ Have a full UK driving licence and be able to get to site for 7.30am each day (Monday to Friday).
